Construction of a multi-purpose convention hall with capacity for 6,000 people to host the 58th Annual Meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund in 2003.
Contract works comprise - in addition to the 8,100m2 main auditorium - multi-storey car park, concourse and meeting rooms, together with upgrading of the existing exhibition halls and surrounding infrastructure.
Construction consists of a mixture of insitu and precast concrete together with structural steelwork and architectural glazing/cladding. The buildings have a high level of complex mechanical and electrical services throughout and the work also involves fitting out areas with specialist acoustic ceiling and wall finishes.
